Early, in person voting in NM started on the 18th. I've been urged by the Obama campaign to vote early about 5 times now. It's getting old. I'm not sure its a great strategy in NM, where the incompetence of the election officials and process are even worse for "special" voting.

And Obama will be at a "Early Vote for Change Rally" at UNM, which is one of the early voting locations, on Sat.

Urging people to vote early is a very effective strategy. I suppose it isn't good if you hear about it five times. The thing is, the advantage from getting people who would otherwise not vote to drop something in the mail far outweighs the disadvantage of having some in-person voters vote in a less reliable fashion.
