It was on a day like this, nearly exactly 40 years ago, when Americans woke to learn that RFK had been shot. How devastating that must have been. I've heard adults talk about the awful shock and tragedy of RFK, but never really "got it." Now I can imagine, at least a little, how terrible it must have been.
I admit, I was a little scared to check the headline on CNN this morning.
