Parliamentary hijinks in Tennessee. Hysterical. I'm surprised this sort of thing doesn't happen more often. I recall something similar happened in Texas recently, where the minority Dems backed (with some republicans) a moderate speaker. I think that was different in that it was a more personal rejection of the asshole who was previously the Speaker.

That was a lot of fun to read. It smacks of 19th century politics, which is so great. I mean I read about stuff that happened back then and wish we'd have a little of that today. I mean senators almost never beat each other to death with canes anymore. This is great.
