What was the political impact of this speech? Just ask the smartest, best political (non partisan) reporter on TV, Chuck Todd. He describes the McCain camp as "speechless."
That's gotta hurt, if you're republican.
Added: On the other "question of the day" I think it's Romney. Kudos to McCain for not trying to step on Barack's day -- whether because he's polite or smart, because there was no way to upstage this stage -- but I think the "big surprise" tomorrow will be the Mittser. Though I'm still holding out hope for Holy Joe. Please, please? But I think it'll be Mittens.
