Gaffes

On that note, let's see how many recent or semi-recent "gaffes" has McCain put out there that I can think of without referencing the inter-tubes.  Just for fun.  Some of these, certainly, are not important or not really reflective of his fitness for the office.   But I would contend that they *all* are probably more important than Jesse Jackson's "castrate Barack" comment.
  • Social security is a disgrace
  • Czechoslovakia is still a country (twice)
  • Fiorina put it out there that health plans that pay for viagra should also cover birth control pills; asked whether he supported that, McCain had an *agonizingly* long blank look and silence before saying he had no opinion on it.
  • McCain's secret plan to balance the budget (no details provided)
  • His "300 economists" who signed a letter in support of his economic plan who in fact signed something quite different.
  • Seemed unaware that gas prices are $4.
  • Claimed to have voted to condemn Iran's elite guard (missed the vote)
  • Admitted that he has no idea how to use a computer.
  • Flatly denied that he ever said he doesn't know much about economics (which is on tape).
  • Gramm's "nation of whiners" (which did get some good media play)
  • Repeatedly confused sunni/shia
  • Claimed Iran is training al quaeda
  • Took credit for GI Bill, which he opposed
  • Funny joke about selling cigarettes to Iran to "kill more of them."
This is all from memory, so forgive me if these are not entirely accurate, but I think they are all more or less correct.

Damn liberal media.
