I know we all here are not members of the "Tax cuts are always good policy" club, and there's lots and lots of debate whether these particular cuts are wise/stimulative/etc. But it is an unusual thing to see the tax & spend liberal pushing the biggest tax cut ever and the republicans voting to a man against it.
When the vast majority of congressional Republicans oppose the
[stimulus] package, they'll be voting against the biggest tax cut "in history."According to the Wall Street Journal,

batch in 2004 and 2005 cost $231. And those were thought to be bigger than the tax cuts offered by Reagan, Kennedy or others.

Well, the Republicans decided to vote against this no matter what. If the tax cuts will help stimulate the economy, they belong in the bill. If the won't they don't.
