But for the Tea Party, the GOP might not have won Wisconsin, Florida or Pennsylvania, and their support definitely helped Kirk in IL and made it REAL close in WA. And sure, a lot of their House candidates lost, but a lot of them won, too.
I think on balance, the Tea Party was a net asset for the GOP this year. But now they have to live with them, the Teahadists are definitely going to constrain the GOP leadership's options in terms of working with the White House. Compromise will be very difficult.
KIDDING! The GOP leadership has no intent of working with the White House. I made a funny. They're going to paralyse the government for another two years and then blame Obama for worsening conditions in 2012.
