What to think when Obama is quoting the two most prominent Republicans over the last 8 years?
This week Obama told Americans to go shopping--Bush after 9/11--and that the fundamentals of the economy are sound--McCain in 2008 when the economy was much better than it is today.

Circumstances trump party or ideology?
Shopping as a response to a terrorist attack is different than as a response to an economic crisis. (Although, I think it is still wrong.)
He didn't say the fundamentals of the economy were strong as an initial response to the crisis.
So, context also matters.
